Cha Eun Woo (ASTRO) expressed his nostalgia while celebrating the birthday of his eternal member and friend, the late Moonbin.
On 26th, Munbin's birthday, Cha Eun Woo wrote on his SNS, "Happy birthday, I miss you" and posted a photo.
The post included a photo of a birthday celebration meal with chocolate milk on top of a cake made from a stack of chocolate pies, as well as moments when Moonbin spent happy time with the members before his death. There was also a photo of a direct visit to Moonbin's memorial service.
Cha Eun Woo later posted a cover video on YouTube in which he sang Shin Seung Hoon's ‘For a while afterwards’ while thinking of Moonbin, and also expressed his feelings of missing him. In this video, Cha Eun Woo waved his hands with a bright smile, but his eyes were slightly burning, making the viewer feel a little bit sad.
A message addressed to Moon Bin was also published in the overview section of this video. Cha Eun Woo wrote "Happy birthday, Bin. How are you? I miss you a lot, especially these days. There are so many things I want to talk about over a drink with you, but I don't have you to rely on. I'm sorry I haven't been able to visit you as often as I did last year. Every time I think of you, I hold on and do my job. It's not what you wanted. But now I feel like it's a bit more difficult. I don't know. Am I doing well? Your absence is felt even more, my friend. I just miss you. I love you. Happy Moonbin Day."
The video received more than thousands of comments in half a day after its release. Fans and netizens mourned Moonbin together with Cha Eun Woo and left comments of comfort and support for Cha Eun Woo.
Mr Moonbin passed away on the 19th April 2023. He was 25 years old. A memorial service for Ms Moonbin is still set up in the Gukcheong Temple in Namhansanseong.
