According to Ress, military expert Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko, who served as deputy chief of staff of the Ukrainian armed forces, told NV Radio that North Korea continues to supply Russia with ammunition, equipment and manpower.
According to Romanenko, North Korea continues to provide a significant level of support to Russia, including supplying 60 percent of the ammunition used on the front line.
In return, North Korea receives technology, funds, and food supplies from Russia, which poses various risks, including the loss of military strength.
"In order for the Ukrainian military on the front lines to overcome these challenges, they need advanced weapons and equipment, as well as well-trained troops," he said.
North Korea reportedly dispatched around 12,000 troops to the Kursk region of Russia in October last year. Ukraine said Russia was effectively "defusing" the North Korean military, which lacks experience in modern warfare.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently said he knew about 4,000 North Korean troops had been killed or wounded in the war.
Ukraine also disclosed that it had captured two North Korean soldiers alive in the Kursk region on the 11th of this month.
