Chinese man secretly photographs flight attendants on Korean flight... ”Because they were pretty”
A Chinese tourist who took a photo of a flight attendant on a Korean flight to Cheju Island was fined. On the 23rd, the Jeju District Court ruled that the tourist had violated the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence (camera)
The court sentenced a Chinese man in his 60s, A, who was charged with indictment without detention for the crime of using public transport and filming in public, to a fine of 5 million won (approximately 540,000 yen).
According to the indictment, defendant A left Beijing at around 1:00 p.m. on September 9 last year.
On a Korean flight to the US, he secretly took photos of the flight attendant's body several times using his mobile phone. Defendant A admitted to all the charges, stating that he "took the photos because they were beautiful."
Defendant A's lawyer argued for leniency, saying, "Defendant A regrets his mistake," and "It was his first trip abroad and he was excited, which led him to commit the crime."
Defendant A also said, "I'm sorry to the victim and the airline. I took the photo out of curiosity, but I'm sorry that I violated the laws of the Republic of Korea.
"I want to," he said.
