The new orders index decreased by 1.8 points to 49.2, the raw materials inventory ratio index decreased by 0.6 points to 47.7, the employee index remained flat at 48.1, and the supplier delivery time index decreased by 0.6 points to 48.1.
The index was 50.3. All the indices were down or unchanged from the previous month, with only the Supplier Delivery Time Index exceeding 50.
Meanwhile, the non-manufacturing PMI, which covers the construction and services sectors, increased by 2.0 points from the previous month.
The PMI for the construction sector was down 3.9 points to 49.3, while the PMI for the services sector was down 1.7 points to 50.3.
