She decides to leave the village where she grew up and live on her own in Seoul. Her boyfriend Yeong-soo and her father Chun-pil (Choi Min Soo) are unable to thwart her determination.
On the night before the New Year, Kang Hee suddenly called Yeong Soo and told her that she was leaving that day. Yeong Soo said that she had something to do, but she replied, "I'm not going to go to another place right now.
