Kim Jong Un denounces misconduct by local officials as ”major crime” in North Korea

North Korean leader Kim Jung Eun has publicly and strongly condemned the misconduct by senior officials in local areas, including the provision of alcoholic beverages and entertainment, saying, "Crimes that are not even remotely acceptable have occurred."

It has been reported that the police have not hesitated to commit unforgivable crimes that violate the law. It is believed that officials have abused their supervisory authority, including accepting bribes, to obtain unfair benefits from residents.
At the meeting, Kim Jong Un described the incident in Cheon County as a "serious violation of party discipline and a disturbance of moral culture," and said, "We have made a public announcement regarding our intention to correct the discipline of our party in a positive manner."
He also said, "It is beneficial for the revolution to boldly admit such serious defects within the party and turn them into a major incident in a timely manner," and added, "We will work toward a new path to reform the party."
