Russian ambassador to South Korea: ”South Korea takes Russia's warning seriously”
Russian Ambassador to South Korea Zinoviev said on the 28th (local time) that "South Korea has not taken Russia's warning seriously and has not taken any substantial steps to provide lethal weapons to Ukraine."
In an interview with the Russian daily newspaper Izvestia published on the same day, Ambassador Zinoviev said, "Many South Korean officials have mentioned that they are considering providing lethal weapons to Ukraine."
"However, no substantive measures have been taken, and I hope that this will not happen in the future," Ambassador Zinoviev said. "Many South Koreans are opposed to the supply of weapons to Ukraine, and the South Korean government has been taking measures against this issue.
"We are clearly aware of Russia's position on this issue," he said, adding, "Our South Korean colleagues, including the highest-ranking officials, are taking the warning conveyed by Russia seriously."
Russia has previously warned that it would take appropriate action if South Korea provided lethal weapons to Ukraine.
