Earlier in the day, Jeong met with National Security Advisor Shin Won-sik, Chief Secretary for Political Affairs Hong Chul-ho, and Chief Secretary for Civil Affairs Kim Ju-hyun.
The two met with President Yoon, who is currently being held at the Seoul Detention Center. The meeting lasted about 30 minutes and was conducted in a separate space from other inmates.
President Yoon said, "People are living here too. They are spending their time safely," but added, "Did the medical system work properly during the holidays?"
"Didn't the elderly people feel any inconvenience?" he asked.
