Actor Lee Dong Gun's father recalls his late second son, ”I've been blaming myself for 10 years” = ”Growth Diary of My Son in His 40s”
Actor Lee Dong-gun's father reminisced about his deceased son.

On the episode of SBS My Little Old Boy broadcast at 9:05pm on the 2nd February, Lee Dong-gun met his parents.

Lee Dong-gon, who got to have dinner with his parents on this broadcast, carefully mentioned his brother to his parents and said, "If he were alive now, I think this is what would have happened", and showed AI photos.

In response, Lee Dong-gun's parents looked at their second son embodied in the AI. His father said, "It's a story that has passed, but he didn't like it, probably because I treated him too harshly."

The father said, ”The farthest he got was when he was old enough to study and all he did was play games all the time" and that "I also broke the computer with it, but now I think I should have just left him alone to play games for the rest of his life.”

He continued, "You are my eldest son, but when I was in high school, you were already on your way as an entertainer, so my second wished that you would 'just study'", he recalled. Hearing this, Lee Dong-gun understood that "it's all love."

His father revealed that he had "never forgotten a single moment since I sent that child" and that he had "lived 10 years with terrible remorse because of the guilt I felt as if I had left because of my mistake all those years."

His father added, "And after about 10 years or so, I thought, 'I haven't sent him yet'" and "so I just felt like I should send him as soon as possible now", while the mother said, "My husband blamed himself when my son had an accident and went there at the time" and "if I hadn't sent him to study abroad, I would have been able to send him to the United States." He blamed himself, saying that if he hadn't allowed him to study abroad, that wouldn't have happened, which saddened those watching.
