The "NEXT ON NETFLIX 2025" event will be held at the Grand Ballroom of Seoul, showcasing Netflix's lineup of shows for Korea and the world in 2025.
The event, titled "Netflix Korea," was held on the same day. The Netflix series panel discussion included Lee Naeun, the writer of "Love Movie," who said, "Thank you for all your hard work.
Attending the event were director Kim Won-seok of "The Stranger," director Lee Il-hyun of "Bad Act," director Yoo Young of "Can You Interpret This?", and director Lee Chang-min of "Cashero."
Among these, the Netflix series "CASHERO," which will be released in the fourth quarter, tells the story of Kang Sang-eun, an ordinary civil servant who gains a supernatural power that makes him stronger the more money he has.
It's a superhero story about a man who saves the world by spending his monthly salary. JUNHO, who has appeared in "King the Land" and "Scarlet Sleeves," plays Kang Sang-eun, a man whose powers grow stronger the more money he has.
Kang Sang-eun, an ordinary civil servant at a community center whose dream is to own a home, is able to use supernatural powers with the cash he has, but he is faced with the strange reality that if he uses them, he loses all his money.
The character's life is changed 180 degrees. "CASHERO" director Lee Changmin said about the combination of "an ordinary character close to everyday life" and "a superhero story":
He explained, "Even if I tried to mix it up, it wouldn't work. I decided not to try to mix it up. Our work is not Marvel style, so we made it our own style."
"CASHERO" is a rare superhero that comes from the irony that "a very ordinary man can use superpowers as much as he has money."
"I wanted to give a feeling that it was something different, and a realistic feeling," he said, "It's a work that is on the border between coming together and not staying still, so it's a work that many viewers can sympathize with."
I tried to make it a quality piece," he added.
