JIMIN breaks records every week on the US Billboard charts, ”History Maker”
Jimin of BTS is setting new records every week on the two major Billboard charts.
The latest chart released by the American music media Billboard (February 8th)
According to a report, the title song "Who" from JIMIN's second solo album "MUSE" ranked 31st on Billboard's main singles chart, "HOT 100."
With this, "Who" has now broken its own record of 27 weeks on the charts for a K-pop solo artist, since PSY's "Gangnam Style."
This is the third longest-running chart time of all time, after AMAZING's "Dynamite" (32 weeks) and PSY's "Gangnam Style" (31 weeks).
"MUSE", which recorded "Who", also ranked in the Billboard main album chart this week.
The album was ranked 115th on the Billboard 200, making it the longest-charting K-pop solo album of all time, with 28 consecutive weeks on the chart.
It is also the only K-pop album released in the last four years to stay on the charts for 28 weeks. JIMIN is the first and only Korean solo artist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Artist Chart.
JIMIN is the Korean solo artist who has been on the chart for the longest time, ranking 75th on the "100" chart and staying on the chart for 35 weeks.
Jimin's "Who" is also making steady progress on the Billboard charts.
200 and Global (excluding the US) charts, respectively, and ranked 16th and 18th on the Billboard Streaming
The song was ranked 17th on the Billboard "World Songs" chart, making it the second longest-charting K-pop song of all time with 28 weeks on the chart.
It ranked first on the "Music Albums" chart again this week, following last week's ranking, making it a total of four times at number one, and 28 weeks in a row on the chart.
Following his first album "FACE" (5 times), which holds the record for the most number of times a Korean solo album has been at No. 1 on the chart, "E" has set a new record for the second-most number of times at No. 1, second only to "FACE" which has been at No. 1 for a total of 63 weeks.
It is also the longest-charting K-pop solo album. JIMIN has topped the Billboard World Albums chart five times with "FACE" and four times with "MUSE."
She is the first and only K-pop solo artist to have achieved a total of nine No. 1 spots.
