"We did not file a lawsuit against weather anchor Kim Ga-young," said attorney Jung. "According to the documents to date, there is no one who has been identified as the direct perpetrator.
"I didn't do anything like that," he explained. Oh Yohan passed away last September at the age of 28. However, a 17-page suicide note was recently found on the deceased's cell phone, which read:
The article included content alleging bullying in the workplace, causing a stir. In addition, the contents of a group chat between the weather forecaster's colleagues, which contained slanderous comments about the deceased, were also made public.
The bereaved families have named Kim Ga-young, Lee Hyun-seung, Park Ha-myung, and Choi Ari as perpetrators, but to date none of them have directly spoken out.
Kim Ga-young has been withdrawn from a TV show due to allegations of bullying the late Oh Yo-han. The family of the deceased is seeking damages from Mr. A, who is suspected of having led the bullying.
A lawsuit has been filed, but since the family has decided that Kim Ga-young is not the "direct perpetrator," it remains to be seen who Mr. A is, and whether Kim Ga-young has entered a new phase.
