The funeral of the late Song Dae-kwang, a superstar in the trot world, was held on the 9th at the Seoul University Hospital Funeral Hall in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
The late Song Dae-kwang passed away on the 7th from a heart attack. A management office official said, "He had been suffering from fatigue recently.
The funeral was held as a Korean Singers Association funeral, with Tae Jin Ah, who was close to the deceased, and Lee Ja-yeon, president of the Korean Singers Association, serving as funeral committee chairpersons.
The late Song Dae-kwang debuted in 1967 with "Kind-hearted Uncle." His 1975 song "The Day the Sun Rises" became a huge hit. Since then, he has swept all kinds of awards and become one of Korea's leading actors.
He was loved as a trot singer with a strong sense of humor, and released hits such as "Because of Passion," "One Ticket," and "Popular Song."
