The group is led by President Yoon's lawyer, Seok Dong-hyun, and has been sending out emails using real names and mobile phone numbers.
Anyone can join online after going through a verification process. According to the Korean daily newspaper Chosun Ilbo, Attorney Seok said, "The number of young people in their 20s and 30s (subscribers) is approaching 60,000."
"Half of the people who have signed up so far are young people," he said. The group said on the same day, "Despite the requirement to use real name authentication via mobile phone, 100% of the subscribers have signed up in five days."
"The fact that the number of votes exceeded 10,000 indicates the desire of the people to restore a free Republic of Korea," he said. "The 29 impeachments and budget cuts by the opposition party have paralyzed national affairs through a 'parliamentary dictatorship.'
"The American people are responding to the President's call that we must stop this," he said.
