This is the first production facility built since the acquisition of Havemore. The factory site area will be 60,000 square meters, six times that of the existing Gujarat factory.
Havemore plans to expand its market from western India based on the production volume at its Pune plant, and then use it as a base for expanding into the southern region.
Lotte Wellfood is improving production efficiency by introducing automated equipment and other production technologies to its Pune factory. Currently, nine lines are in operation, but the company plans to increase this to 16 lines by 2028.
The Gujarat factory currently produces Lotte Wellfood's ice cream 'World Cone', while the Pune factory produces a variety of Lotte branded products including 'Watermelon Bar'.
The new company, Lotte India, will be launched in the first half of the year and will integrate Havemore. The new company will expand its product lineup and integrate logistics bases, resulting in greater efficiency and synergy.
Furthermore, the Haryana factory will be the first overseas production base for Lotte Wellfood's chocolate snack "Pepero," with production scheduled to start in the second half of the year.
