A famous South Korean franchise cafe is selling smoothie drinks that contain small pieces of plastic, causing complaints from customers.

"Something hard came in my smoothie, so I spat it out and plastic fragments came out," he wrote, sharing a photo of the plastic fragments that had come out of his strawberry smoothie.
Plastic fragments are pictured. Ms. A said, "Four fragments came out in total, and my child and I ate everything else," and added, "It was a soft smoothie, so we ate it with a thick straw without chewing it."

After swallowing the plastic fragments, Ms. A complained of a burning, tingling sensation in her throat and excruciating pain. She said, "I wonder if this is a psychological factor, or if the wounds are getting worse as I drink."

However, when the head office visited the store and checked the security cameras, it was discovered that a part-time worker had put a measuring spoon in the strawberry smoothie.
