The 75th Berlin International Film Festival opened on the 13th (local time).
Hong Sang Soo's 33rd feature film, "What Does that Nature Say to
"You" was officially invited to be included in the feature film competition section of the 75th Berlin International Film Festival.
This is the same as director Hong Sang Soo's previous works "The Woman Who Ran," "Introduction," "A Novelist's Film," and "In the Water."
This is the sixth consecutive year that director Hong Sang Soo has been invited to the festival, following "A Traveler's Needs." At the Berlin International Film Festival, she received the Silver Bear Award for Best Actress at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival and the Best Actress Award for "The Girl Who Ran Away."
He has previously won awards for his work in film "Woman" (Silver Bear for Best Director at the 70th Film Festival) and "Introduction" (Silver Bear Grand Prize at the 71st Film Festival).
Previously, director Hong Sang Soo and Kim Min Hee had been working together on the film "Alone on the Beach at Night."
They made their relationship official at a press conference held after the media preview screening. Earlier this year, news broke that Kim Min Hee was pregnant with director Hong Sang Soo's child, causing a shock.
This is because director Hong Sang Soo's divorce from his wife has not yet been finalized. As a result, attention is focused on whether Kim Min Hee will accompany director Hong Sang Soo to the 75th Berlin International Film Festival.
However, the two did not appear on the red carpet at the opening ceremony. The film "What Does that Nature Say to You" is scheduled to be released in Korea in the first half of this year.
