"From the Point of View of an Omniscient Reader" (directed by Kim Byung-woo), a film based on a webtoon by Hot Topic and attracting attention for the passionate performances of Ahn Hyo-Seop, Lee Min-ho, Choi Soo-Bin, and others, will be released in Korea in July.
The film "From the Perspective of an Omniscient Reader" depicts the day when a novel that has been serialized for over 10 years is completed, and the world in the novel becomes reality.
The only reader of the novel, Kim Deok-ja (Ahn Hyo-Seop), embarks on a fantasy journey to survive in a post-apocalyptic world together with the protagonist of the novel, Yoo Jun-hyuk (Lee Min-ho), and his friends.
It's a G-action movie. The released launch trailer starts with an impressive scene of Deokja's confused face in the subway that stops in the middle of Dongho Bridge.
Deokja intuitively realizes that the situation unfolding is exactly the same as in the novel she was reading, and the post-apocalyptic world in the novel continues on in the real world just like it did in the past.
The Dongho Bridge that crossed the Hangang River, which the protagonist traveled to every day, collapsed, and the subway train that he rode every day overturned, and one after another, ordinary everyday spaces were depicted in ruins.
Also joining Deokja on her journey are Lee Min-ho, Choi Soobin, Shin Seung-ho, Nana (AFTERSCHOOL), and JISO, who are perfectly synchronized with the original.
O (BLACKPINK) also appears one after another, and their chemistry and combination as they play an active role in the world of a novel that has become reality is raising audience expectations even higher.
The launch poster shows Kim Deok-ja (Ahn Hyo-Seop) and Yoo Jun-hyuk (Lee Joon-hyuk) facing each other on the collapsed Dongho Bridge, heralding the start of the full-scale story.
The intense encounter between Kim Deok-ja, an ordinary office worker and the only reader of a novel that no one else reads, and Yoo Jun-hyuk, the protagonist of the novel, is immediately captivating.
Anticipation is already building as to whether they will be able to confront each other and what unpredictable events will befall them in the post-apocalyptic world of their novel that has become reality.
In particular, the sparkling energy between Ahn Hyo-Seop and Lee Min-Ho, who are acting together for the first time in this film, is one of the film's highlights.
"From the Point of View of an Omniscient Reader," one of the most anticipated films of this summer, is set to be released in theaters in Korea in July and is expected to greet audiences with a fresh setting never seen before.
