The late actress Kim Sae-ron passed away after 24 short years of life. She had changed her name to Kim Aim and was preparing for a new start when she passed away.

On the 16th, a close freind of Kim Sae Rong told media outlet Edaily "Kim Sae Rong changed her name to Kim Aim and was about to make a new start" and "She was preparing to open a café with her acquaintances and was also preparing to return to the entertainment industry, but this sad news is unbelievable."

The Seongdong Police Station in Seoul reported that Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her home on the afternoon of the same day. According to the police, they were dispatched following a call from a friend who had promised to meet Kim Sae-Ron, but she was already dead. Police officials stated that they had not found any traces of external intrusion or other suspected crimes, but they were continuing to investigate the circumstances of her death.

Kim Sae-ron, who made her showbiz debut as a magazine model in 2001, began her acting career in 2009 through the film ‘Traveller’. She showed a sensitive performance in the film ‘Ajosi’ released in 2010 and attracted attention as a child actor, and has since appeared in numerous films, including ‘I am Father’, ‘Manhole’, the drama ‘Queen's Classroom’ and ‘Splendid Temptation’. She had appeared in numerous films and continued to be active.

However, on the 18th May 2022, Kim Sae-ron caused a commotion when she was involved in a drunk-driving accident near Cheongdam-dong in Seoul. At the time, a transformer was damaged in the accident and shops in the area suffered a power failure. At the time of the accident, Kim Sae-ron refused to take a breathalyzer test at the scene and requested a blood test, which reportedly showed a blood alcohol level of 0.2%, the level at which his licence would be revoked. In the aftermath of this accident, Kim Sae-ron refrained from activities and was preparing to return to work by filming the film Guitar Man last year.

Lee Sung Jung Won, the head of Lee Sung Jung Won Pharmaceuticals, who was responsible for the policy and direction of ‘Guitar Man’, the late actor's return film, told media outlet Edaily "During the filming, Kim Sae-ron was cheerful and dignified. She was always smiling and mischievous," and mourned her, saying, "She smiled brightly when she was at the office, but when she was alone, she looked dark and difficult, and that part of her made my heart ache."

Representative Lee Sung Jung, who looked after Kim Sae-ron next to her, said, "It seems that she suffered during the process of returning to work" and added, "And while filming with her, I supported her to make a successful comeback. It's a pity that she answered cheerfully when I told him to endure and stand up cool from this point onwards" he confided.

The film Guitar Man finished filming at the beginning of November last year and its release date has not yet been decided.
