Former President Lee Myung-bak: ”The Democratic Party is not an ordinary opposition party”... ”The ruling party needs to come together” = South Korea

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak said of the main opposition Democratic Party, "It is not a normal opposition party."
On the morning of the 17th, former President Lee met with Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the ruling People Power Party, in Seoul.
"The minority should come together and support the president so he can act, but the party (the ruling party) is divided," he said.
President Iformer said of the Democratic Party, "We have been against the opposition party so far.
"But the current opposition party is not an ordinary opposition party," he said. "Because the opposition party is the majority party, if the ruling party wants to overcome this, it really needs to pool its strength and wisdom."
He continued, "The party seems to have stabilized a little since Kwon became floor leader," and asked, "Isn't the floor of the party not normally noisy?" To which Kwon replied, "Each person's opinion has become more widespread.
However, there have been difficulties so far,” Kwon said. Kwon is a representative “pro-Lee Myung-bak” figure, having served as legal secretary at the Blue House (presidential office) during the Lee Myung-bak administration.
In January 2023, Kwon, the floor leader, made a public visit to the former president's private residence to offer New Year's greetings along with pro-Lee Myung-bak people.
