North Korean POW: ”I'm the only survivor”... ”I want to go to South Korea”
It has been reported that North Korean prisoners of war held by Ukrainian forces have expressed their desire to go to South Korea.
North Korean soldier Ri, who was captured by Ukrainian forces last month, was arrested on the 19th.
In an interview with the South Korean daily newspaper Chosun Ilbo, he said, "I've made up my mind 80%," and "I'm going to apply for refugee status first and then go to South Korea."
Ri described himself as a "soldier belonging to the Reconnaissance General Bureau," and commented, "All drone pilots are South Korean soldiers."
