Prior to this, suspect A appeared in front of the Seoul Central District Court at around 1:50 pm wearing a suit. In response to questions from reporters, suspect A uttered swear words in English and attacked the building.
Suspect A visited the police station at around 11 p.m. on the 20th and requested that they investigate him as soon as possible, but when he was refused, he appeared to have broken the glass of the entrance on the first floor and tried to enter the building.
Prior to this, suspect A had broken into the Chinese Embassy in Korea at around 7:36 pm on the 15th and was arrested on the spot for attempted trespassing and released.
The suspect was reportedly making a statement to the effect that he intended to carry out a terrorist attack on the Chinese Embassy. The police applied for an arrest warrant for suspect A on the afternoon of the previous day (21st). A police official said, "The Chinese Embassy and Police Station in Korea
