Daegu Mayor: ”North Korean soldiers in the Ukraine war should be repatriated to South Korea” = South Korea

On the 23rd, Hong Jun-pyo, mayor of Daegu, South Korea, claimed that North Korean soldiers who were captured in the Ukraine war should be repatriated to South Korea.
On the same day, Mayor Hong wrote on Facebook, "Couldn't the captured North Korean soldier have been a defector?"
Mayor Hong said, "The fact that the negotiations to end the war in Ukraine are being carried out without Ukraine is an international reality of survival of the fittest, similar to the armistice agreement of 1953 (Korean War) being carried out without South Korean troops.
"If the North Korean nuclear issue is resolved through negotiations between the United States and North Korea alone, without South Korea, we will suffer the hell of becoming slaves to the North Korean nuclear program," he said.
He continued, "First of all, let's wait and see the negotiations to end the war in Ukraine."
