Seoul makes all-out effort to select Korea as host city for 2036 Olympics

The city of Seoul in South Korea is putting all its efforts into its bid to host the 2036 Summer Olympics, with the selection of candidate cities set to take place in Korea.

He called it an important opportunity for a renewed leap forward, and emphasized that active cooperation from sports federations and the sports world is a key factor in determining the success or failure of hosting the Olympics.

Seoul Vice Mayor for Administrative Affairs Kim Byung-min also visited 11 national sports federations, including the Korea Swimming Federation, that afternoon to discuss whether Korea will become a bidding city for the 2036 Summer Olympics.
The city plans to solicit interest and support for the selection. The city will continue to work closely with the sports community, the national government, other local governments, and civil society in its efforts to win the final bid for the 2036 Summer Olympics.
The Korean Olympic Committee plans to continue to make efforts to promote the city that will host the 2036 Summer Olympics. The final decision on the Korean host city will be made at the general meeting of delegates of the Korean Sports Association on the 28th of this month.
