On the 18th of this month, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with a delegation from the Japanese business community visiting China. The Japanese delegation included 230 people.
"This is the largest visit to China to date, and it fully demonstrates the importance that Japanese business circles attach to the Chinese market and their expectations," he said.
A Japanese businessman who attended the meeting also said, "The stable growth of the Chinese economy is not only due to Japan.
"This is not only beneficial to the development of the economy in East Asia, but also to the development of the global economy. We would like to deepen cooperation with China and contribute to the development of Japan-China relations from an economic perspective."
The spokesman pointed out that Japan's cumulative investment in China has exceeded 130 billion dollars (about 19.4 trillion yen).
"We should strengthen communication, maintain the stability of supply chains, uphold the multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization at its core, and strengthen regional and multilateral cooperation," he said.
