China's National Bureau of Statistics predicts GDP will grow 5.0% year-on-year in 2024 - Chinese media

According to the "2024 National Economic and Social Development Statistics Bulletin" recently released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China, China's annual gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to reach 134.9084 trillion yen, up 5.0% from the previous year.
The increase in the primary industry was 3.5% to 9,141.4 billion formers (approximately 189 trillion yen), and the secondary industry was 5.3% to 49,208.7 billion formers (approximately 1,016 trillion yen).
The tertiary industry increased by 5.0% to 76.5583 trillion yen (approximately 1,581 trillion yen). The increase in the primary industry accounted for 6.8% of GDP, the secondary industry 36.5%, and the tertiary industry 5.
Finally, consumption expenditure added 2.2 percentage points to GDP growth, gross capital formation added 1.3 percentage points, and net exports of goods and services added 1.5 percentage points to GDP growth.
By quarter, GDP in the first quarter (January-March) increased 5.3% year-on-year, in the second quarter (April-June) it increased 4.7%, in the third quarter (July-September) it increased 4.6%, and in the fourth quarter it increased 4.7%.
The annual GDP per capita increased 5.1% year-on-year to 95,749 formers (approximately 1,977,000 yen). The gross national income increased 5.1% year-on-year to 1,000,000 yen.
Labor productivity per capita increased 4.9% to 173,898 formers (approximately 3.59 million yen).
