The export volume to Japan increased by 29.2% to 230 million dollars (approximately 34,313,350,000 yen). One of the factors behind the strong exports to Japan is the short-term delivery service.
Doohans, a logistics service provider, is a subsidiary of IT giant Naver, which is providing instant delivery of online shopping products through its “Naver Delivery” service.
The company operates a "Delivery Guarantee" service, which was launched at the end of 2022 and has seen the number of products handled increase by more than 700% in two years.
Duhans applied this successful experience to the Japanese market. In 2024, it will launch a "5-day delivery" service on the online shopping site "Qoo10".
The company has begun offering a "Delivery Guarantee Service." The cross-border fulfillment center (logistics facility) collects orders from sales form sellers in 10-minute increments and shortens the transportation preparation time, including packaging, from 13 to 24 hours.
The time has been reduced to a maximum of 37 hours. Weight measurement technology has been introduced, and the process of arriving in Japan has been halved from 84 hours to 42 hours.
A Doohans official said, "In 2025, we will partner with logistics company KSE International Logistics to deliver products to 21 regions in Japan.
"We have begun providing delivery services to Japan based in the region and at our logistics centers in Seoul and Busan."
The company says it plans to offer a service that will deliver packages to Japan within three days.
