Dano said XRP will be included. "The president recognizes Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset," he said. "The question now is, what will he do with other cryptocurrencies?"
"That model will be announced at the summit this Friday (March 7)," he explained. President Trump has said he plans to include cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin in the national cryptocurrency reserve.
Critics say Bitcoin is the only decentralized asset that operates without centralized control and has no long-term value retention.
He argued that Bitcoin is a suitable means of preserving its value, and pointed out that it is not appropriate to stockpile it together with centralized altcoins. Peter Schiff, a leading Bitcoin critic,
Peter Schiff also revealed that, "I did not invest in Bitcoin when it was below $100 in the past, but I understand the need to stockpile Bitcoin Exclusives," and even altcoins.
In response, Secretary Lutnick said that while President Trump wants to have a Bitcoin Exclusive stockpile, other cryptocurrencies will also be included to a certain extent.
We reaffirmed our position.
