あす(7日)に仮処分審問を控えているのに…「NewJeans(NJZ)」vsADOR、“活動遮断”への意図をめぐり再び衝突
Even though the provisional injunction hearing is scheduled for tomorrow (7th)... ”NewJeans (NJZ)” vs ADOR clash again over the intention to ”block activities”
Members of "NewJeans," currently active as "NJZ," and ADOR are once again at odds and engaged in a public battle of opinion with the provisional injunction hearing scheduled for the next day.
On the 6th, the parents of "NewJeans" explained on the "NJZ PR" channel that "ADOR will still be the brand leader of 'NJZ' on January 6, 2025.
At the time, ADOR claimed that the only problem was their advertising activities, but the content of the application included the fact that they were a "management company."
"The request included, 'Please recognize the company's status.'" According to them, ADOR's aim was to completely block all entertainment activities of "NJZ."
"The purpose of the February 11th provisional injunction application has been expanded to include not only advertising, but also all musical activities such as writing lyrics, composing music, performing, and singing for NJZ, as well as all other incidental activities," the statement said.
The parents of NewJeans said that ADOR was ostensibly trying to prevent confusion between fans and sponsors, but that they had asked the court to "ban them."
He claimed that he asked for NJZ to be banned from all entertainment activities, which he said was seen as an attempt to avoid public criticism.
Prior to this, NewJeans' parents said that HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk had been planning NJZ's Hong Kong concert.
However, ADOR denied this, saying, "We have never had any contact." The parents of "NewJeans" filed a provisional injunction against ADOR.
However, ADOR's position was different. ADOR said that NewJeans had expanded its activities, including holding large overseas teasers,
"This is not an attempt to restrict their activities, but rather an attempt to continue their entertainment activities together with ADOR while respecting their contract," the company said.
At the same time, ADOR countered, "Tomorrow in court, ADOR will clearly explain the various misunderstandings of artists, and many members are waiting for ADOR to publish the New Jersey lawsuit.
"We will ask for a ruling that this is the agency of 'eans'," he added. "NewJeans" notified management office ADOR of the termination of the exclusive contract on November 29 last year, and then moved to a new group.
In response, ADOR filed a lawsuit against the five members of "NewJeans" in January to prevent them from signing their own advertising contracts.
The court will hold a hearing for the provisional injunction tomorrow (7th) at the 50th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court.
Since this is the first legal battle since the announcement of the breakup between the two parties, many people are paying close attention to the matter. Meanwhile, with legal proceedings just one day away, it seems the two sides are once again clashing over the extension of provisional measures.
However, a battle of public opinion is underway, attracting more attention.
