Park Min Young is a 4th year student majoring in theater at Dongguk University's School of Arts, which opened in 2016 and is a member of the 11th batch of the school's theater major.
Since being appointed as the 20th anniversary public relations ambassador, he has been steadily leading the way in spreading awareness of the school and showing his extraordinary love for his alma mater. This donation was also made with the hope of creating a better environment for the juniors of his alma mater, Dongguk University.
The 50 million won donation that Park Min Young donated will go towards the scholarship for the Department of Drama at Dongguk University Arts College.
The donation will be used for tuition fees and the Dongguk University Scholarship Fund. Park Min Young delivered the donation and said that she would use it to help her juniors at Dongguk University to be free from the worry of tuition fees and focus on their studies.
In addition to the scholarship for Dongguk University, Park Min Young will also donate 100 million won to the Seoul Asan Medical Center Cancer Center in 2024 and to the forest fire victims in 2022.
He has been making steady donations and volunteering by donating 100 million won to the Disaster Relief Association, donating all proceeds from the sale of 2019 Season's Greetings to animal protection organizations, and participating in the UNICEF birthday donation campaign.
