Marriage is not a ”must” but a ”choice”... 75% of female office workers in South Korea say ”marriage is not a necessity”
It turns out that 60% of company employees don't consider marriage to be essential. On the 10th, the Korean job information site Incruit asked 653 company employees about their values regarding marriage.
In terms of the size of the workplace, 43.8% of employees at large companies, 40.0% of employees at medium-sized companies, and 38.7% of employees at small and medium-sized companies considered marriage to be essential.
There was also a large gender gap. 75.3% of female office workers answered that "marriage is not essential," while 50.3% of male office workers answered that "marriage is essential."
Among unmarried company employees, 66.6% answered that they "want to get married," while 33.4% answered that they "do not want to get married."
The most common reason for wanting to get married is "emotional stability" at 57.5%, followed by "the need for children."
The most common reason for not wanting to get married was "I don't feel the need to get married" at 39.7%, followed by "financial reasons".
23.7% said they "don't have the time" and 17.6% said they "can't find anyone I like."
