Busan Digital Asset Exchange launches Market Surveillance and Future Technology Advisory Committee, chaired by Presidential Cyber Special Advisor Lim Jeong-in

The Busan Digital Asset Exchange (Bdan, CEO Kim Sang-min) held the “City Seminar” on the 10th at the Yeouido IFC Hall in Seoul, chaired by Lim Jeong-in, Special Advisor to the President on Cyber Affairs.
Bdan Market Surveillance & Future Technology Advisory Committee was established.
The Emerging Technology Advisory Committee (Bdan-MSETAC) is an exchange that trades digital assets such as real-value-backed assets (RWA).
The aim is to increase transparency and credibility by separating the powers of various exchanges, while also formulating a market monitoring system and proposals for the application of future technologies that can protect exchanges from cyber threats.
The advisory committee is also actively considering applying cutting-edge technologies in the fields of blockchain and cybersecurity to the Busan Digital Asset Exchange.
In particular, future technologies such as an AI-based abnormal transaction detection system, innovative use of distributed ledger technology, and next-generation digital asset storage solutions will be applied to digital asset exchanges.
The plan is to focus on analyzing the impact of the outbreak and preparing preemptive countermeasures. The areas of activity are cyber security, digital asset policy, and blockchain industry strategy.
The committee plans to continue expanding its target fields in line with rapid changes in technology trends. The first advisory chairperson will be Lim Jeong-yi, Korea's top authority on cyber and digital security.
Lim is currently a professor at Korea University's Graduate School of Information Security, the 15th president of the Korea Society for Information Security and the Cyber Security Advisor for the National Intelligence Service.
He is one of Korea's top security experts, having served as a member of the National Security Council and chairman of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office's Cyber Investigation Advisory Committee, and contributing to the development of domestic security technology.
The advisory committee is led by Lee Jun-hee, professor of cyber defense at Korea University (Cyber Security Advisory Committee member).

In addition, whenever new policies or technologies related to digital assets emerge, the company plans to provide advice on a timely basis and develop prompt and effective countermeasures.
The establishment of this advisory committee is expected to lay a foundation for contributing to the development of Korea's securities industry while providing more stable services to investors.
