Coin king 'Jongbar Kim' who swindled 260 billion won from 'Artube Coin' was arrested and indicted again

Mr. Park, a market manipulator known in the coin industry as the "Coin King" and "Jongbar Kim," has been arrested and indicted again on charges of coin fraud worth over 260 billion won (about 253 million yen).
On the 10th, the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office's Joint Investigation Division for Virtual Currency Crimes indicted Park and Moon, the CEO of a coin platform development company, on suspicion of fraud.
The court said that Park was on trial in custody. From March 2021 to April 2022, the defendant issued the scam coin "Artube Coin" without any intention of engaging in the coin business.
He is accused of making false announcements, manipulating the market, and defrauding coin investors of approximately 260 billion won (approximately 253 million yen).
Prior to this, Park had also been involved in another scam coin, "BudouCoin
" and used the same method to artificially inflate the price, defrauding about 18,000 investors of 80.9 billion won (about 7.2 billion yen) and making a profit of 21.6 billion won (about 1.8 billion yen) last year.
He was arrested and indicted in August. Defendant Park was tried while in custody and released on bail on January 22. Less than a month later, another coin fraud charge was added to his indictment without detention.
Park was arrested on the 20th of last month. Seoul Southern District Court Chief Judge Han Jeong-seok, who specializes in warrants, issued an arrest warrant for Park on the grounds of "risk of destroying evidence and fleeing."
Although Park was prohibited from leaving due to the Grape Coin case, he attempted to stow away on a five-ton fishing boat at Giseong Port in Jindo County, South Jeolla Province in December 2023.
He was caught by the police and sentenced to prison.
