INFINITE's Sungjong wins lawsuit against former management office for unpaid fees

Sungjong (INFINITE) has won a settlement lawsuit against his former agency.

　Sungjong recently won a civil lawsuit against his former agency SPK Entertainment (represented by Kim Soonpil) for unpaid settlement payments.

　Sungjong, who signed an exclusive contract with SPK Entertainment in August 2022, was unable to receive the contract payment promised at the time of signing the contract, as well as the necessary support for program appearances, fan meetings, and album releases.

　After SPK Entertainment's request for proof of content and correction of the breach of contract was not accepted, and the ensuing non-response, Sungjong notified SPK Entertainment of the termination of the exclusive contract last year. After that, he applied for a provisional disposition to suspend the validity of the exclusive contract, which led to a forced arbitration, and he was set free.

　At the time, Sungjong also filed a lawsuit against INFINITE for the settlement of his activities for the past two years, including YouTube appearance fees, Japanese fan meeting fees, etc. At the same time, he also filed a lawsuit against INFINITE for the settlement of his activities for the past two years. On the 28th of last month, more than one year after the lawsuit was filed, the company finally won the lawsuit.

　The court ruled that "the defendant (SPK Entertainment) must pay the plaintiff (Lee Sungjong) the amount calculated at a rate of 6% per year from April 21st, 2023 to February 28th, 2025, and 12% per year from the following day to the day when the entire amount is repaid.

　INFINITE, to which Sungjong belongs, released its 8th mini-album "LIKE INFINITE" on March 6th, marking the 15th anniversary of its debut and announcing its glorious return to the music industry. The title track "Dangerous" has a light disco-punk sound and energetic rhythm.
