Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has responded to a Wall Street Journal report that he is requesting pardon.
On the 13th (local time), Changpeng Zhao announced through X that he was a friend of Donald Trump.

He emphasized that reports that he would be able to resume his management or administrative roles at Binance if he were pardoned were not true, saying, "No matter what

The settlement resulted in Zhao admitting to violating the Bank Secrecy Act by failing to effectively operate an anti-money laundering (AML) program, and he stepped down as CEO of Binance after four months in prison.
Zhao was also given a court order permanently barring him from any involvement in the operation and management of Binance.
