An incident occurred in the lobby of Ajou University Hospital in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, where a woman in her 30s brandished a weapon at a security guard.
On the 14th, Suwon Nambu Police Station announced that it plans to apply for an arrest warrant for a woman in her 30s, identified as A, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
On the 13th at around 8:50pm, Mr. A was brandishing a weapon at a security guard, Mr. B, in his 40s, in the lobby on the first floor of Ajou University Hospital when he was arrested red-handed by the police who were called in response to a report.
B suffered stab wounds to the head and arm and was taken to the hospital for treatment, and his life is not in danger. According to the police investigation, A was not drunk and had gone to the hospital to check whether an acquaintance was hospitalized.
However, when Mr. B replied that there was no such person, Mr. A took out the weapon he had prepared and committed the crime.
Police said that A had made a statement to the effect that he had been angry because he thought B was lying.
In addition, when the police checked with the hospital, they found out that the acquaintance that Mr. A was looking for was not currently hospitalized.
The police are investigating the specific circumstances of the incident against Mr. A, while issuing an arrest warrant.
The plan is to consider whether to apply.
