"When a ruling is made, it is in keeping with the spirit of the constitution to resist it," Chung said. Chung, who has voiced opposition during the impeachment trial of President Yoon, said in an interview with South Korean news agency Yonhap News on the 18th.
In an interview with "Facebook," he said, "Of course I would accept it if procedural justice and procedural legitimacy are ensured."
"In short, I would accept it as long as the judicial procedures based on the rule of law, fairness and common sense that people in their 20s and 30s wish for are strictly adhered to," Chung said.
"If procedural legitimacy is not ensured, all responsibility will fall on the judges of the Constitutional Court," he said.
He continued, "The April 19 Revolution is to resist the injustice of the March 15 fraudulent election.
"The country's constitution is said to carry on the spirit of April 19," he said. "If the Constitutional Court's decision is unjust, then it is in keeping with the spirit of the constitution to resist it."
