Coinbase: 83% of institutional investors plan to increase their cryptocurrency investments

Institutional investors are showing increasingly optimistic attitudes towards cryptocurrencies. On the 18th (local time), Coinbase announced that it had secured investments from more than 350 institutional investors.
In a survey of investors, 83% of respondents said they plan to increase their cryptocurrency investment ratio in 2025. The survey also revealed that currently, about 75% of the companies surveyed are already investing in Bitcoin.
Most respondents said they hold cryptocurrencies other than Ethereum and Bitcoin, and most said they plan to increase the proportion of cryptocurrencies in their portfolios to 5% or more.
Institutional investors believe crypto assets offer the most attractive risk-adjusted return opportunity over the next three years.
The most favored altcoins among institutional investors are XRP and Solana (SOL). Institutional holdings of altcoins are likely to grow further, especially as the Securities and Exchange Commission
This trend is expected to accelerate if the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approves any new altcoin ETFs this year. Currently, there are more than a dozen altcoin ETF approval applications awaiting SEC review.
Litecoin (LTC), Solana (SOL), and XRP are among the candidates likely to be approved in the short term.
