The court ruled in favor of DOR's request for a provisional injunction against members of "New Jeans" to "preserve the status of the planning company and prohibit the signing of advertising contracts, etc."
After holding a press conference in November last year to inform ADOR of the termination of the exclusive contract, NewJeans has been continuing its own activities. ADOR then confirmed that the exclusive contract was still valid.
The company filed a lawsuit against the agency, stating that it would prevent NewJeans from making any independent attempts to contact advertisers prior to the lawsuit being declared, and that it would “preserve the status of the planning company and the advertising contract.”

In relation to this, ADOR explained, "While the provisional injunction was in progress, NewJeans expanded their activities by releasing a new song and holding a large overseas teaser concert, so we were forced to file for the provisional injunction.
"This does not mean that we should restrict their activities, but rather that we should continue to work together in the entertainment industry by 'standing with ADOR' and 'honoring the contract.'"
Meanwhile, the members of "NewJeans" recently announced that they would be changing their group name to "NJZ" after soliciting suggestions for a new name for their group.
They also teased that they will be performing for the first time under a new name at "ComplexCon Hong Kong" to be held in Hong Kong in March, and in relation to this, the organizers of the event
They claim that pressure was exerted on them by ADOR and HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk.
