Macau's February inbound visitor numbers fall 4.4% year-on-year as overseas tourists increase

The number of tourists from mainland China who visited Macau in February was 2,291,700, down 6.4% year-on-year.
Tourist numbers fell 11.1%. Tourists from nine cities in the Pearl River Delta fell 3.2% to a total of 1,122,500, while visitors from Hong Kong fell 4.4% and visitors from Taiwan increased 14.4%.
The number of international visitors in the same month totaled 207,700, up 17.9% year-on-year, of which 41.8% were from South Korea and 26.2% from Japan.
Meanwhile, the number of visitors to Macau in January and February this year increased 10.4% from the same period last year to a total of 6,793,700.
