Singer Lim Young Woong reports that his penthouse worth over 500 million yen has been seized due to unpaid taxes: ”I will pay the taxes immediately and the seizure will be lifted”

It was later reported that Korean singer Lim Young Woong's home had been seized for unpaid local taxes, but the seizure was lifted.

The mailbox of Yeongwoong's apartment building is located on the third floor, not the basement or first floor, which is where the entrance is. This meant that he was unable to check his mail for a certain period of time, and therefore was unable to receive his local tax notice.
"I was not able to pay the taxes, and I ended up receiving a notice of seizure," he said. "After I became aware of the matter at the beginning of this year, I immediately paid the taxes, and the seizure has now been lifted.
"We deeply apologize for not paying close attention and for this happening," the Seoul Mapo-gu Office said in a statement.
The Mecenatpolis Sent House in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, owned by Youngwoong was seized. The seizure was cancelled three months later in January of this year.
The reason for the seizure is listed as "Seizure" (Collection Division-19632), and the right holder is listed as "Mapo-gu" (Seoul Special City).
The Mapo-gu Tax Collection Division is responsible for collecting local taxes, non-tax revenues, and transportation overdue payments. Lim Young Woong paid all of his overdue taxes within three months, and the seizure was cancelled.
Lim Young Woong is currently living in the highest penthouse apartment in Mecenatpolis, which is one of only four homes, which he purchased for 5.1 billion won (approximately 522 million yen) in September 2022.
