SEVENTEEN donates 1 billion won to help residents affected by forest fires
The group SEVENTEEN has donated 1 billion won to help victims of forest fires in Ulsan, North Gyeongsang Province, and South Gyeongsang Province.
The Hopebridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 27th that they had donated 10,000 yen. "SEVENTEEN" said, "We hope that this will be of some help to those affected by the wildfires."
"We offer our deepest condolences to the victims and our sympathies to all those who are going through difficult times," it said.
SEVENTEEN has been practicing sharing for marginalized classes and helping with disasters both in Korea and abroad.
During the disaster, they also donated funds to help with damage recovery, demonstrating their influence as a force for good. Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, said, "The warm support of the members of SEVENTEEN is a great source of inspiration for us.
"We are deeply grateful for the donation," the company said, adding, "The donation will be used quickly and transparently so that our neighbors affected by the wildfires can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
Hope Bridge is currently providing emergency relief supplies to the forest fire sites in Uiseong County, North Gyeongsang Province and Sancheong County, South Gyeongsang Province, and is helping to build temporary housing at the sites.
The city is also operating rescue vehicles such as laundry vehicles and buses for mental and physical recovery at evacuation centers. It is also discussing with local governments and other parties whether it can provide additional support if necessary.
