*The following contains spoilers. Director Kim Won-seok, who worked on "My Mister," and screenwriter Lim Sang-chun, who worked on "When the Camellia Blooms," teamed up to make this film.
In the released footage, IU and Park BoGum play the young Esung and Kwangshik, while Moon So Ri and Park BoGum play the older Esung and Kwangshik.
She is shown appearing as Kwangshik and answering questions during an interview. Ae-soon said about Kwangshik, "Kwangshik follows me around every day. For some reason, he's always by my side."
Meanwhile, Kwang-sik said, "Ae-sun was my first love, and I've been by her side ever since I was 10 years old," and talked about their early days when they were so attracted to each other that they ran away together, and their lives up to their marriage and childbirth.
Ae-sun confesses that her married life was not easy, but she was able to build a life thanks to the support of her grandmother and those around her, and Gwang-sik, who decided to become a fisherman to support his wife and daughter.
Their daughter, Geum-myung, grew up receiving unconditional love from them and with her parents' hopes in her heart, she achieved Ae-sun's dream of going to college in Seoul.
In Seoul, he meets new people, including Kim Seon Ho, a painter at the theater where he works part-time.
The mysterious encounter with Hyun-seop and the changing relationship are also revealed. At the end of the film, the older Ae-seung, played by Moon So Ri, meets the younger Ae-seung, played by IU, and says, "I've been in trouble.
There were times when I was in a bad mood, but looking back, there were many good things. So I don't have to worry. Kwang-sik is by my side as always, and my aunties are with me. I've started a family, and I'm doing better than I ever imagined.
"You will learn to love people. So don't worry. That's life," she says, talking about her own journey through life. Ae-sun was a shy girl who couldn't even sell vegetables, but now she does everything for her family.
The viewer can sense her transformation into an accomplished mother, and is touched by the depth of the love and bond between Ae-seung and Kwang-sik that remains unchanged even as they grow older.
