"We cannot overturn the Constitutional Court's decision, but we cannot suppress the people's desire to protect liberal democracy," Rep. Na wrote on her social media account that day.
Regarding the Constitutional Court's decision to impeach former President Yoon Seok-yeol, Rep. Na said, "I would like to ask whether this decision is for the Republic of Korea and its people."
"I believe this decision was made without due consideration to due process, parliamentary democracy, the people's livelihood and the national interest, which would all collapse with the collapse of the one-party parliament."
He continued, "If the dictatorship of the Lee Jae-myung Democratic Party exceeds legislative power and seizes executive power as well."
Based on this assumption, he wrote, "A Republic of Korea in which even the presidential veto power is rendered powerless and the evil laws they push forward are smoothly implemented. That is not the future we want."
Rep. Na added, "We must all be armed with a heavy sense of responsibility for the future of the Republic of Korea. First, we must correct the discipline of the people's power and move forward as one.
He concluded his statement by emphasizing the party's responsibility, saying, "We must do our utmost to achieve this."
