BTS' JIMIN selected as ”Most Popular K-Pop Idol”

JIMIN (BTS) shined with his popularity as the Most Popular K-pop Idol of 2025.

　JIMIN received 655,610 votes, more than half of the total, for Most Popular Kpop Idols 2025 on the global fan voting website Shining Awards, which closed on March 31st, and won first place with 50.19 percent of the votes cast.

　JIMIN thus showed his presence as the king of K-pop, both in name and reality, by being ranked No.1 for three consecutive years, following No.1 in 2023 and 2024, as well as in 2025.

　Prior to this, JIMIN was ranked No.1 in King Choice's King Of Kpop 2023 for six consecutive years starting in 2019, followed by No.1 in Shining Awards' King Of Kpop for three consecutive years and No.1 in Debeme's Kpop Idol of the group has received overwhelming support from global fans, including first place in Debeme's Kpop Idol of the Year 2023.

　The title track Who from JIMIN's second solo album MUSE, released last year, charted for a total of 33 weeks on Billboard's main song chart Hot 100, setting a record for the longest charting period in K-pop history and demonstrating its popularity. Forbes, an American business magazine, praised JIMIN's Hot 100 success as JIMIN's Hot 100 Success Is Unparalleled.

　JIMIN, who is currently serving in the military, holds the record for the longest charting song on Billboard's Hot 100 for both a solo song and a group song through Who, as well as the record for the highest charting song (Like Crazy at #1) and longest charting song (Who at 33 weeks), making him the only K-pop artist to hold all of these records. As the one and only K-pop artist, he has built a solo career that no one else can match, and expectations for his post-discharge activities are high.
