The group name “SWEET:CH” is a coined word combining “SWEET” (sweet) and “SWITCH” (switch), meaning to switch the world brightly with the members' sweet voices and performances.
The group consists of three Korean and four Japanese multinational members, HWI, JIN, WANGSEOK, TAIKI, GEON, RIKUTO, and SATOSHI, and has attracted attention because many of its members are participants in the large-scale Korean survival program “Project 7.
They conducted promotional activities in Japan from May to June 2024, and have already gained a fan base in Japan.
And in April of this year, their long-awaited pre-debut single “SWEET DAY” will be released. The title track, “Candy House,” is a song that invites you to a space full of crush and sweetness, and it is filled with the desire to express the initial feelings of love at the moment it begins, as it is.

Q. What kind of group is SWEET:CH? What is the unique charm of SWEET:CH that makes it different from other groups?
HWI: We believe that understanding and quality are important in our performance and music. The harmony of our voices, our imagery, and our ability to digest a variety of genres without omission are our strong points and appeal.
GEON: We, SWEET:CH, are a team of sweet voices and various personalities that come together in harmony. Because of the harmony of our diverse image charms and voices, we have the advantage of making every member laugh.
Q. What do you want people to pay attention to about this event in Japan, which was decided early after your pre-debut?
JIN: First of all, we will be making our pre-debut and performing our song CANDY HOUSE for the first time in front of everyone, so please expect a lot from us. We are also preparing many other performances, so we will be able to show you many of our charms!
We also have four Japanese members, and the other members speak good Japanese, so we are looking forward to communicating with our fans!
Q. What kind of feelings do you put into your pre-debut song CANDY HOUSE? Also, please tell us about the production process.
RIKUTO: CANDY HOUSE is a very sweet song that is full of the moment when love begins and the feelings that I am sure you must have felt! And I think one of its charms lies in the lyrics, which convey the feelings of love in a very honest way!
It was difficult for many of the members to record for the first time, but we practiced a lot so that we could show off our individual voices, and we gave each other advice on what we needed to work on.
Q. What have you learned from or been influenced by the Japanese and Korean members?
WANGSEOKI think the most important thing I have learned from the Japanese members is the Japanese language. I naturally speak Japanese when I live with them. And there were many moments when my Japanese friends' passion ignited me as well. We seem to learn a lot from each other in this way.
TAIKI: When I send a message on my cell phone, if I see a word that is not in the text, I ask a Korean member, 'What does this mean?' They kindly tell me, 'This is what it means', which is very helpful for me to improve my Korean language skills.
Q. Finally, please send a message to your Japanese fans.
