Tether, the issuer of the world's most widely used stablecoin USDT, is considering launching a new stablecoin. Stablecoins are coins that are pegged to fiat currencies such as the dollar.
On the 6th (local time), Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said, "Stablecoins are very suitable for emerging markets," according to Decrypto.
"We are currently actively considering the launch of a new stablecoin that complies with U.S. regulations," he said.
"We comply with regulations to a higher standard than our competitors."
