Fatherland Reform Party: ”Former President Yoon Seok-yeol has not left the official residence even though it has been four days since his impeachment... eviction measures and compensation should be imposed” (South Korea)
The Fatherland Reform Party said, "The couple, who are illegally occupying the presidential residence in Hannam-dong (Seoul), must be immediately evicted and must pay the legal compensation.
"We will not allow the government to take any measures against the president," he urged Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choi Sang-mok on the 7th. Yoon Jae-gwan, spokesman for the Fatherland Reform Party, said in a report that afternoon that suspicions were deepening.
In a commentary titled "The mastermind of the rebellion is deliberately delaying his move out of the official residence," the article said, "The mastermind of the rebellion, former President Yoon Seok-yeol, has not yet left the official residence even four days after his impeachment.
"According to internal information provided to the Fatherland Reform Party by the Security Service, the mastermind behind the rebellion has made the necessary decisions that must be made before moving inside or outside the country," Yoon said.
"As of today, they have not been doing anything at all," he continued. "A director-level official at the Security Service in charge of security has been appointed and he must issue personnel orders for the numerous security officers in charge of guarding private residences.
"A relocation plan should also be put in place. But even today, four days after the impeachment announcement, all of this remains a mystery."
Yoon said, "Even after the impeachment, he continued to play politics at the Prime Minister's Office and enjoy playing with the incumbent president.
"This is probably to secure time for the government to cover up and destroy the evidence. Such illegal acts must never be tolerated," he said, urging three things. "First, the illegal and unauthorized occupation of state property by the masterminds of the rebellion,
"We cannot sit idly by and watch the national treasury suffer losses. The presidential palace is state property No. 1 as stipulated in the National Property Act (Article 4, Paragraph 2, Item 1 of the Enforcement Decree of the National Property Act)," he said.
He added, "Minister of Strategy and Finance Choi Sang-mok must immediately evict the couple, who are illegally occupying the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, and must pay them the compensation prescribed by law."
"Secondly, the official residence in Hannam-dong is a crime scene. There is a very high possibility that the husband and wife, the masterminds of the rebellion, will use their position as directors as an excuse to destroy evidence. We must promptly search the official residence before destroying evidence.
"We must investigate," he said. "It would be dereliction of duty to wait until the mastermind of the rebellion leaves the room."
"Thirdly, the investigating authorities have uncovered the illegal occupation of the official residence by the couple who were the masterminds of the rebellion," Yoon said.
The investigation into Kim Sung-Hoon (Deputy Chief of the Presidential Security Service), who is suspected of being involved, and other suspects, should be expedited, and Presidential Acting President Han Deok-soo should immediately remove Kim Sung-Hoon from his position while he is under investigation.
"It will not happen," he emphasized.
