Galaxy Digital, a cryptocurrency financial services company, has received approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to register to relocate its headquarters to Delaware.

Galaxy announced that the SEC had approved its S-4 registration document, which includes a plan to relocate its headquarters from the Isle of Man to Delaware, in order to strengthen its presence in the United States.
The move comes as part of a restructuring plan aimed at accelerating the company's entry into the U.S. market as a financial services company focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and cryptocurrency.
The company plans to hold a special shareholders' meeting on May 9 to give final approval to the reorganization plan, and will immediately rename itself "GLXY" once shareholders have given their consent.
Galaxy plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol Galaxy. Galaxy is currently listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) in Canada.
