Lee's side explained that this statement reflects his will and determination to run in the presidential election. In addition, at 10 a.m. on the 11th, a speech was held at the National Assembly Communication Center to announce his candidacy as a presidential candidate.
He plans to announce his presidential campaign camp selection with John. Regarding the reason for choosing the National Assembly Communication Center as the venue for the announcement, he said, "We respect the National Assembly, which is the hall of public opinion, and place importance on cooperation between political parties and communication between the media."
"I chose the National Assembly Communication Center as a symbolic location to hold the ceremony," he explained. Meanwhile, at the Supreme Committee meeting held at the National Assembly on the same day, former Chairman Lee said, "I have achieved a fair amount of results as the party leader for the past three years.

With Lee's resignation, the Democratic Party will be run by its floor leader Park Chan-dae as acting leader for the time being.
